This is a great time to buy! It is definitely a buyer´s market. There is a lot of inventory to choose from in all price ranges on the oceanfront anywhere from $220,000 and up. Because there is so much to choose from, some seller´s are more anxious than others and we have seen some really unbelievable deals go through and some really great units for great prices right now.

This is definitely a buyers market. The year 2006 was really a difficult year for real estate. It was stagnant as people were waiting to see how low prices would drop. As of January 1, 2007 we have seen a pick up in the market. More buyers are looking at and inquiring about property and more agents are showing property. We are seeing more units go under contract. All reports I have read recently say that our market will continue to stay flat through 2007. Which is good news! (It´s better than declining right?) Then we should see a turn in the market for the better going in to 2008 and from the increase of activity we are seeing that looks pretty accurate.

    Investing in Daytona Beach Real Estate:

    The days of buying something and flipping it in a short period of time are over with. However, if you are looking for something longer term, I know of some great deals in some great rental buildings which may not necessarily have a positive cash flow, but will cover your property taxes and maintenance fees. Of course, the appreciation will come in time. Oceanfront property is limited and will be harder to get at a decent price in a couple of years. Daytona Beach after all is by far the most affordable oceanfront property in the state of Florida.
